I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss this, John.

I’m hearing from people across the country who are shocked by their energy
bills this winter. With your support, 350.org is fighting back against the
greedy, for-profit utility companies that are raising rates and keeping us
hooked on expensive oil and gas.

But to make our campaign as effective as possible, we need to understand
how energy costs are impacting your daily life. [ [link removed] ]Will you take our 2
minute survey to share your thoughts?

Utility companies are fueling the climate crisis and the affordability
crisis, and we’re growing a groundswell of support to change that.

We’re demanding an energy system that benefits us all and our planet – and
when you take the survey today, you can help make sure our campaign
prioritizes the solutions that matter most to you.

Together,

Katrina for Team 350

Hi John,

Energy costs are skyrocketing this winter. And the recent storm, which
pummelled more than half the country with heavy snow, ice, and extreme
cold, will only drive our heating bills even higher.

Costs are rising in part because utility companies are hiking up their
rates – they requested $31 billion in rate hikes in 2025 alone.^1 Now
they’re raking in profits while keeping us hooked on expensive fossil
fuels. We’re fighting back against the greedy, for-profit utility
companies – and I want to hear from you, John.

[ [link removed] ]Will you take our quick, 2 minute survey to help us understand how
rising energy costs are impacting you? Your feedback is essential to
ensure we’re advocating for people-centered solutions.

Everyone deserves access to clean, affordable energy to heat their homes
this winter. But we’ve seen how utility companies work to block the
transition to clean, renewable energy.

They know that renewable energy is cheaper and safer to use, which means
fewer rate hikes for their customers and less profit for themselves and
their shareholders. And in most states, it’s perfectly legal for utilities
to pass the costs of lobbying against clean energy onto their customers.^2

Utility companies are worsening the climate crisis and the affordability
crisis. They’re putting profits over people and our planet, and we won’t
stand for it.

To inform and shape our utilities campaign, we need to know which
solutions will best serve ALL of us. That’s why I need to hear from you,
John. [ [link removed] ]Please take just a few minutes to fill out our 2026
Utilities Survey.
