I watched LePage veto a bill as Governor that would have banned conversion “therapy” targeting LGBTQ kids.

I watched him support a law that allowed employers to legally fire a gay employee.

I even watched him claim that marriage equality only passed in Maine because of voter fraud.

It’s sickening. And it’s exactly why Trump and the entire MAGA Machine are bankrolling him.

I’ll be honest: defeating Paul LePage is going to take everything we’ve got.

But nothing could make me give up this fight. Because it’s personal, Herbert.

I know all too well what it’s like to be a child uncertain of his future, just because he’s gay. I know what it’s like to come out of the closet in fear and struggle to find acceptance.

And I know what it’s like to face vile attacks from homophobic bullies — they’ve been hurled at me every day since I launched this campaign.
