As we enter the final push to enshrine reproductive rights into the Virginia state constitution, the federal government is ramping up its attacks on women’s rights.
The Heritage Foundation, the same group that created Trump’s Project 2025, which he is aggressively implementing despite feigning ignorance about the extremist right-wing playbook on the campaign trail, has come out with a new agenda: “Saving America by Saving the Family.”
Here’s a look at their plans to “accomplish” that goal:
❌ Eliminate no-fault divorce to make it more difficult for women to leave unstable or unhappy marriages.
❌ Discourage women from seeking an education so they can focus on getting married and giving birth.
❌ Attack birth control access and IVF and implement “faith-based” alternatives.
The Heritage Foundation is promoting a cringeworthy worldview that women who choose not to have children are deserting their responsibility and that “easy divorce” will be the downfall of our nation. They are calling for a “culture-wide Manhattan Project that marshals America’s political, social, and economic capital to restore the natural family.”
We are sounding the alarm: A few years ago, they may have been considered an extremist fringe group. Now, they have our Wannabe King in their pocket who values the opinions of billionaires over the American people. We must do everything we can to fight for our fundamental freedoms.
