Hey there, it's Sherrod. I wanted to reach out with a quick update about where things stand. 

February is the shortest month of the year. And if we’re going to compete with the huge sums of dark money that will be spent against us, we need to raise more than we did in January – in less time.

So my team and I sat down and crunched the numbers. We need to raise at least $10,000 from emails like these every day this month if we’re going to stay competitive in this race.

These aren’t arbitrary numbers: With two polls showing me neck and neck with my anti-abortion, Republican opponent, we’ve got a rare opportunity to capitalize on our momentum and surge ahead. But my team won’t have the resources to move ahead with our February investments if we’re behind on our daily fundraising goals.

That’s why it’s absolutely critical that we hit our $10,000 daily goal by midnight. And that’s why I could really use a favor.

I’m personally asking: Will you rush $5 or more now to help us keep up our momentum, win this race, and flip this Senate seat?
