Friend—I’m tired of watching our democracy be used as a political football.

Across several recent election cycles, we’ve seen deliberate attempts to undermine faith in our results. We’ve watched misinformation escalate and billionaires buy unprecedented influence. But most importantly, we’ve seen our friends and neighbors, the dedicated poll workers in our community, face harassment just for doing their jobs.

I’m not willing to sit back and watch it happen. That’s why I am officially introducing a comprehensive package of legislation to strengthen, protect, and modernize Pennsylvania’s Election Code.

Every Pennsylvanian deserves to know, without question, that their voice matters. My plan focuses on the common-sense reforms that election experts and counties have been asking for:

• Processing ballots faster: Allowing counties to pre-canvass mail-in ballots so we get accurate results sooner and shut down the window for disinformation.
• Protecting election workers: Creating criminal and civil penalties for anyone who tries to harass, intimidate, or doxx the people running our precincts.
• Increasing transparency: Setting strict security requirements for the private vendors that provide our voting machines.

As I told the press this week, "The right to vote is central to our democracy, which is why it’s under constant attack." By implementing these reforms, we can begin to restore faith in the system.

I won my first race by only 793 votes. I know that in Pennsylvania, every single vote counts and the integrity of those votes is non-negotiable. Keeping this seat means I can stay in Harrisburg to stand in the gap and protect our democracy.
