friend, I’d love to know: why do you believe unjust debt should be cancelled?

Together we’re gearing up for a special year: It’s 30 years of dedicated debt campaigning and we want to make sure we continue to challenge the systems that perpetuate poverty and inequality.

So friend, tell me why you’re on the team and what we should do together in 2026, in our quick survey – here’s the first question:

Right now, 54 lower income countries are in a debt crisis – left without the means to tackle climate change or pay for essential services like healthcare and education.

It doesn’t have to be like this: 90% of the lending to the lowest income countries is enforced through the UK courts. We could force banks to cancel the debt – and win justice for millions around the world.
