Hello John, There’s much news to share! From the dramatic rescue of four cheetah cubs from the illegal pet trade, and three cats after a catastrophic fire, to action against fox hunting and monkey exploitation, we’ve hit the ground running to help wild animals in need. Every individual always matters – meet Simba the lion, Rosette the chimp, and two tiger cubs in India! But, we can’t do this work for wildlife without your support – thank you for standing with us.

Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our dedicated colleagues, four extremely young cheetahs have been rescued in Ethiopia, and brought to the safety of our rescue centre.

Fragile, sickly and scared, the tiny cubs were saved in the nick of time from the cruel illegal trade in cheetahs as ‘status symbol pets’. Our expert team literally worked around the clock to give them the best possible care. But, could they save their lives? |

Wildfire emergency
Following wildfires in South Africa’s Western Cape, we carried out an urgent rescue of a lion and two servals from Panthera Africa, to our Big Cat Sanctuary at Shamwari Private Game Reserve.

Ban trail hunting
It’s still legal for UK hunts to lay a scent trail, using fox urine, in areas where foxes live. Trail hunting is a deadly smokescreen to chase and kill foxes. Please sign our joint letter to Keir Starmer to ban this cruelty.

In the news again
Some 5,000 monkeys and other primates, kept as pets in the UK, will soon be illegal without a licence. Yet our headline-grabbing research shows a shocking lack of effort by local authorities to raise awareness.

Simba’s new home
Four years ago, we launched an appeal to build a glorious new home for a lion – rescued as a sickly cub, just weeks old. You instantly responded but, what happened next? It’s been quite a journey for majestic Simba.

Remember Rosette?
Last year, we told you about a young chimp who, after leaving her family, took a wrong turn and ended up living alone in a busy city in Uganda. How on earth could she survive? We bring you an extraordinary update.

Reprieve for badgers?
We welcome, at last, news that no more badger cull licences will be issued, but urge the UK government to end remaining culls. Since 2013, 250,000 badgers have been killed in a flawed attempt to reduce TB in cattle.

Talking tigers
Two large cubs play together in a park in Central India where, just a few years ago, tigers had become extinct. Look what can be achieved when people who care work together! But, could their future now be in jeopardy?
