Republicans have been working overtime to thwart the will of California’s voters — this ruling came after no fewer than six failed attempts — but we beat back every single one of them.
As expected, a perfect losing record for the GOP extremists battling against these lawful election results.
I’m grateful the Supreme Court has made it clear that the will of the voters stands firm. Bottom line: Prop 50 is lawful. That’s why every single challenge against it failed.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: when we fight, with the law on our side, we win.
I couldn’t be prouder of my team for successfully defending this ballot initiative in court over and over again on behalf of the Governor and the Secretary of State. It’s moments like this that remind me I’m exactly where I need to be: protecting and defending the rights of the people of this great state.
We know the challenges to our freedoms will keep coming — this administration has been hell-bent on targeting California since day one, and they’re not stopping anytime soon — but I’m more than ready to fight back.
