John,
When I demanded transparency and accountability for what’s happening in Minnesota, the Department of Justice turned its attention to me.
That’s not a coincidence. It’s retaliation.
This is how authoritarian politics work: overwhelm your critics, weaponize the justice system, and make the cost of speaking up so high that people stop doing it.
I won’t stop, because Minnesota believes in the rule of law. We believe in dignity. We believe real public safety comes from trust and cooperation — not fear, chaos, or political theater.
But fighting back against this kind of retaliation is expensive by design. And that’s why I’m asking for your help.
If you’re able, please contribute $10 to our Legal Defense Fund and the Voter Protection Project today so we can keep standing up for Minnesotans, defending the rule of law, and pushing back against this abuse of power.
I’m grateful,
Tim Walz

401 2nd Ave. S, Ste. 303, Seattle, WA 98104 The Voter Protection Project is on an important mission: To end partisan gerrymandering and voter suppression by electing candidates at the state and federal levels that are forceful advocates for voting rights. Our enfranchisement agenda includes working to ensure that every state has automatic voter registration and online voter registration, convenient early voting, and independent redistricting commissions to ensure politicians are not able to draw their own maps.
