In January, Seth went to Minnesota to see ICE in action. What he saw and learned matters, not just for Minnesota, but for Massachusetts and the states Trump will target next.
ICE is using intimidation as a tactic. Agents are surrounding cars, blasting “ICE ICE Baby,” yelling threats, tracking people by license plate, and telling people they know where they are going. Masked agents are switching rental cars to avoid accountability. People are being released into the freezing cold with nothing but what they were wearing when they were taken. None of this is by accident. The violence is the point.
While in Minnesota, Seth spent time at Pow Wow Grounds, a Native-owned coffee shop and mutual aid hub distributing supplies from across the city and training people on how to stay safe and effective. They’re disciplined, smart, and organized, a model we’re learning from and bringing home.
Seth has called for ICE to be prosecuted and abolished, and he has introduced the Healthcare Reinvestment Act. Congress rushed billions to fund a masked, secret police force while families struggle to afford care. This bill takes that bloated ICE increase in funding and redirects it to make health care more affordable for the people who actually need it.
