For too long, New York politics has been defined by career politicians, backroom deals, and empty rhetoric about “affordability” while working families continue to struggle.
That changes today.
I am very proud to announce that India Walton is joining this campaign as our running mate for Lieutenant Governor.

India isn’t a product of the political machine. She is a mom from Buffalo, a registered nurse, and a lifelong organizer who has spent her life navigating the very systems that have failed too many New Yorkers. From being a mother at 14, and living in a group home, to earning her nursing degree and fighting for her community, India’s leadership is rooted in lived experience, not political ambition.
She knows what it’s like to face housing instability, underfunded schools, and inaccessible healthcare. When she saw these systems failing the children she cared for as a school nurse, she didn’t just complain — she organized.
In 2021, she did the "impossible": she built a multiracial, working-class coalition and defeated a four-term incumbent in the Buffalo Democratic primary. Her victory proved that when we offer real representation, working people will show up.
Together, we are making history. We would be the first elected all-Black Governor and Lieutenant Governor ticket in New York State. But more importantly, we are building a government that serves people, not donors or party bosses.
India has the courage to challenge the status quo. Will you chip in $10 today to welcome her to the team and help us build a New York that works for everyone?
Onward,
Antonio Delgado
