Let me give it to you straight: I can hardly recognize our country anymore, and we need to do something ASAP to turn things around.
Billionaires are doing whatever the hell they want. Giant corporations are raking in record profits. And while working families are struggling to afford their groceries, bogus Washington politicians like Jon Husted are just telling them to “earn more” instead of actually coming up with any solutions.
Gimme a break.
Everything’s expensive, but wages aren’t going up. Housing costs are through the roof, health care premiums keep climbing, and the people in Washington who are supposed to care? They’re too busy cozying up to their fat cat donors to even notice.
But Sherrod Brown is different. He’s in this race to fight for workers, affordable health care, and good-paying jobs. He’s got the spine to stand up to these corporate interest clowns and fight like hell for regular folks.
That’s why megadonors and corporate special interests spent $250 million against Sherrod last cycle. They’ll do anything to shut him up.
The good news is Sherrod can win. Polling shows him leading his Republican opponent, and The Cook Political Report boosted his odds of flipping Ohio. Everyone from CNN to MSNBC says it: The Senate is officially in play.
That’s why Sherrod’s race is HUGE. Because if he wins Ohio, we flip the Senate – and then we give working folks a voice in Washington again.
So from an old political geezer who has seen a million elections, I’m personally asking you: Will you chip in $5 or whatever you can to help Sherrod win in Ohio and flip the Senate?
