Dear John,

Tell your Senators: Support school meal programs that feed hungry children!

The number of people struggling to feed their children has doubled since the start of the pandemic.

Schools are on the frontline to provide sustenance for these hungry students, many of whom are students of color. For many children, the meals they receive from their schools are the only meals they will have that day.

Congress is moving far too slowly to address this crisis. We need you, John, to demand that your Senators adequately fund school meal programs.

Use your voice: Help children receive the food they desperately need.

Since the pandemic started, schools have been bagging and distributing thousands of meals a day to ensure their students are fed. But that has caused many school districts to go into deep financial debt. If Congress doesn’t relieve that debt and give them the resources they need, school meals will be in jeopardy this fall.

While schools grapple with concerns about reopening due to COVID-19 safety, the Senate must help feed hungry children.

Demand your Senators help schools and struggling families. No child should go hungry!

Standing with you,
