I introduced my new K-30 legislative agenda which includes 16 bills focused on three of the most urgent challenges facing the next generation: affordable housing, quality education, and access to stable, well-paying jobs.
I’m a mom of young adults, and I’ve met directly with parents and young people in Oregon. We all want to make sure that our kids get off the payroll and that they can live down the street not downstairs.
That’s why I’m working to make sure that every child has access to a high-quality education, that there are good-paying jobs available when they graduate, and that when they get one of those jobs, they don’t need to wait another 20 years to buy a home.
The premise of my K-30 agenda is very simple — and it’s not partisan. Everyone understands that having a future for our kids is not a red or blue issue.
We have 16 bills, seven of which are bipartisan, and I invite my Republican colleagues to join the rest and get this legislation passed for the next generation.
My work has always been a love letter to Oregon’s children, and I’ll continue fighting for young Oregonians and Americans who deserve opportunity, not obstacles, as they build their futures.
