Walking is extra adventurous in DC right now. Photo of 14th Street by Joe Flood [[link removed]] .
Hi Friend,
The above photo is emblematic of my experience getting around in the District the past 10 days. A+ kudos to you if you were part of the effort digging out a path or clear bus stops even when it wasn't clear whose responsibility [[link removed]] it was to do so. If you have more winter weather photos that show the pinch points of our infrastructure, please consider submitting them to the Flickr pool [[link removed]] .
We're hiring! This time for a DC Organizer [[link removed]] and a Development Manager [[link removed]]. Read on to learn more. DC Organizer applications are due February 11, so if you think you might be a good fit, don't delay!
Next up, TranspoBINGO [[link removed]] ! I threw down the gauntlet and said I'd participate this year. Who's with me? RSVP [[link removed]] and join in the fun. Perhaps take a train-bus journey to Denizens for a happy hour [[link removed]] on February 11?

GGWash is hiring a DC Organizer. This is an early- to mid-career role for a practiced organizer who will, primarily, manage our work with Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners (ANCs). Join our Breakfast Links team! [[link removed]]
Our Breakfast Links Curators kickstart each day at GGWash, working with our editors to select six to 10 engaging stories that provide a snapshot of recent local urbanist news. One of our fantastic volunteers is leaving this spring. We'd love to welcome a new volunteer to help us fill that shift starting in March. Maybe it can be you?

Who is responsible for unburying the bus stops? [[link removed]]
The bus makes our region a more accessible place, including during nasty winter weather when those buses are (up to a point) able to push on through snowfall that many cars can’t. Icy berms, however, cancel out much of that accessibility.
