Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) is currently seeking members for three advisory committees

Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) is currently seeking members for three advisory committees:

  • The Intellectual and Developmental Disability System Redesign Advisory Committee (IDD SRAC) advises the Health and Human Services system on the implementation of the acute care services and long-term services and supports system redesign for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. IDD SRAC applications are due by 11:59 p.m., February 20, 2026.
  • The State Medicaid Managed Care Advisory Committee (SMMCAC) advises HHSC on the statewide operation of Medicaid managed care, including program design and benefits, systemic concerns from clients and providers, efficiency and quality of services, contract requirements, provider network adequacy, trends in claims processing, and other issues the HHS executive commissioner requests. SMMCAC applications are due by 11:59 p.m., February 10, 2026.
  • The Medicaid Advisory Committee (MAC) formerly known as the Medical Care Advisory Committee (MCAC) advises HHSC on matters related to policy development and effective administration of the Medicaid program including developing and maintaining the Medicaid program and in making immediate and long-range plans for reaching the program’s goal of providing access to high quality, comprehensive medical and health care services to Medicaid recipients in the state. MAC applications are due by 11:59 p.m., February 10, 2026.
