Zoom Registration for MCYD Executive Board Elections Thurs. July 30th
As a reminder the MCYD Executive Board elections will take place this Thursday, July 30th at 7:00 PM. All MCYD members in good standing will be eligible to vote. Please register in advance for this meeting using the following link:

There is one slate of candidates running for President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. They released the following statement:
Ore Obiwumi, Erin Byrnes, Leslye Moya and Hait Leuva are proud to announce their run for the Executive Board of the Morris County Young Democrats.
Ore Obiwumi currently serves as Vice President of the MCYD and is running to serve as the organization’s President. She previously served as Political Director of the Morris County Democratic Committee and managed the Cliff Dawkins for State Senate campaign. She currently works for the Sister District Project, a national organization that provides support to legislative candidates in competitive states.
Erin Byrnes currently serves as Secretary of the MCYD and is running to serve as the organization’s Vice President. She currently works in the financial industry as a public accountant. She previously served as a Field Organizer for the Morris County Democratic Committee.
Leslye Moya has been an active member of the MCYD and is now running for Secretary. She is the current Political Director of the Morris County Democratic Committee. She previously served as the campaign coordinator for the Carolyn Blackman for Mayor campaign in Dover and was a member of the 2019 New Jersey delegation of the Young Democrats of America.
Hait Leuva currently serves as MCYD Treasurer. He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in economics, and currently works for a boutique consulting firm. He was formerly President of the Young Democrats club at Parsippany Hills High School. He resides in Parsippany.
Obiwumi, Byrnes, Moya and Leuva are running on a platform of utilizing the energy of young voters to advocate for meaningful changes throughout Morris County and across the state of New Jersey. They believe in helping young people become active participants in the political process so that they can begin building the future they want to see.
