In a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign, but first, I hope you will give me a minute or two to explain why your donation is so important, especially today.

The past few months have certainly been a challenging and simply unprecedented time, with the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down everything from schools, to businesses, to our in-person campaign events.

As expected, our fundraising has taken a hit in recent months -- and our team is working diligently to stretch every dollar as far as we can. This has had a profound impact on our ability to scale up my re-election effort in the way I had hoped after I ended my campaign for president.

Our end-of-month fundraising deadline is this Friday, and with less than 100 days left until one of the most consequential elections of our lifetimes, it's critical that we stay strong.
