Last month, I was proud to travel to Richmond to support Abigail
Spanberger as she made history being sworn in as the first woman Governor
of Virginia.

And just a few days later, Mikie Sherrill was inaugurated as the next
Governor of New Jersey — a proud fellow veteran who answered the call to
serve by stepping up to lead her state forward.

I know firsthand that governors are our first line of defense against
Trump’s attacks — and I know Democratic governors are ready to fight back
and protect our progress. We need to build on this momentum and continue
our mission everywhere, beyond just New Jersey and Virginia.
