That big government media corporation takes $1.4 billion per year from taxpayers like you. It gets dismal ratings with next to nobody watching its newscasts. CBC executives got big bonuses while hiring more managers to manage its managers.

It gets worse: Most of the mainstream media is being funded by the government, including the CBC.

Journalists should not be paid by the government.

I spent most of my life as a journalist working in newsrooms. I know “government funded media” is the opposite of a free press. That’s why we need to end the media bailout in Canada.
