Marc Elias
Hi team, it’s Marc Elias. I’m reaching out for the first time this year to update you on our lawsuit against Donald Trump and our fight to protect our elections – and I promise I’ll make this quick, because we have work to do.
It’s a new year, and Donald Trump and his MAGA minions are only ramping up their blatant attempts to tip future elections in their favor, from working around the clock to gerrymander congressional maps for a Republican majority to pushing restrictive voting bills that could disenfranchise millions.
And just last month, Trump openly said that “we shouldn’t even have an election." They aren’t even trying to hide it.
My lawsuit alongside the DGA and Dem govs nationwide secured some huge wins last year, but the fight for our democracy is not over, team, and we all need to steel ourselves for the battles ahead. I’m proud to be on the front lines along with Dem govs – but we need you with us.
If you want to help elect Democratic governors who are defending our democracy and protecting our right to vote, can you chip in $3 – or more – to the DGA now? Your gift will even be matched until midnight tonight up to their emergency $25,000 goal.
