The regime and its central bankers will never let prices fall for any sustained period. Price inflation is built into the system that is now run by those who benefit from rising asset prices. So, when it looks like prices could fall as a result of rising productivity, the Federal Reserve will use this as an excuse to inflate the money supply even more than usual.
