I have an important ask to make ahead of our July fundraising deadline. I hope you'll give me a minute to explain why this is so important.

On Friday, we'll close the books on one of the biggest fundraising deadlines of this campaign. This is a big one because my Republican opponent just outraised us for the first time in our pre-primary fundraising filing. It's also important because we are on the verge of hitting 1,000,000 contributions to this campaign.

So the amount of money we raise is important, because we need to close the gap and catch up to our opponent, but what's also important is the number of people chipping in to help us hit our 1,000,000 contribution goal.

Right now my team tells me we still have some work to do to hit our goal, so we need a surge of donations before this fundraising deadline on Friday.
