Hey John, 

ICYMI: last week we relaunched our Get The Facts Out campaign. The campaign was created to call out members of Congress and the executive branch who are sticking their heads in the sand—or worse, parroting the talking points of the fossil fuel industry—on the climate crisis.

Like many of you, I’m sure, combating the climate crisis is near and dear to me.

I grew up in Northern California where I was surrounded by nature and was taught from a very young age to appreciate the natural world. Unfortunately, climate change threatens the place I call home in very real ways, and I know I’m not alone in this.

From a young age, I understood the complex relationship between people and planet Earth, understanding that our actions directly impact the world we live in.

Even our smallest actions have serious, long-term ramifications when compounded. 

It doesn’t take growing up in a place like California to believe that climate change is real and happening. And it’s not just faraway places like the Arctic Circle being impacted—it’s happening in places right in our own backyards.

I am here to advocate for climate justice, not just because of my upbringing, but because everyone deserves a safe, healthy, and sustainable future.

Young folks have the most to lose in this fight, which is why we relaunched our Get The Facts Out campaign.

We have to hold our legislators accountable.

There is far too much at stake for our elected leaders to deny the facts and refuse to take action on climate change.
