Over the weekend, DSA-LA welcomed more than 800 people to our January chapter meeting—the biggest turnout in our chapter’s history—and DSA is on the verge of hitting 100,000 members nationwide!! Socialism is on the rise and we’re ready to meet the moment.

Are you interested in climate justice? New to DSA? Looking for community? All of the above? Join us at the LA State Historic Park to learn about the Stop the Gondola campaign, get to know other comrades, and enjoy the great outdoors. Bring your own food, drinks, blankets, chairs or other park day items and organize for a brighter future.

Thursday, 7:00 pm–8:30 pm

This training covers the fundamentals of ICE Watch, including logistics, safety, how to record ICE activity, and other best practices. Learn the skills you need to protect your neighbors.

Saturday, February 7, 2:00 pm–4:00 pm

Join community members and DSA-LA comrades to walk through Downtown Los Angeles to do outreach to community businesses & neighbors, and make sure they are informed about their legal rights and prepared to safeguard their workers from ICE raids.

More than one-third of Angelenos speak Spanish at home, and we want more canvassers to feel confident that when they knock on a door, they can make a real connection with the person who answers.

Past Spanish language education is recommended. Fluent Spanish speakers are also encouraged to join as conversation buddies.

This is our bi-weekly meeting for DSA-LA’s priority campaign on housing. We’ll plan our work to organize tenants, fight for stronger tenant protections, efforts to secure a public bank, and discuss current housing issues.

Join the Mutual Aid Committee for our twice-monthly committee meeting, where we’ll be discussing ongoing and upcoming committee work, as well as helping folks get plugged into other work throughout the city. New members always welcome!

Directors, photographers, writers, designers, on-camera talent—we need it all. Administrators and project managers, too!
