Politics in a Nutshell
'This is the grassroots.' Iowans gather to caucus ahead of midterms [[link removed]]
Passionate Democrats across the state left the comforts of their homes last night to organize and to vote on the party’s future. We’re happy to announce that this was the most attended caucus night since 2018, with thousands of Iowans taking part! This proves that Iowans are ready for change, ready for new leadership, ready to roll up their sleeves and go to work, and ready to take back our state this November!

Iowa Democrats were approved Saturday to present their case to national Democrats on why the state’s Democratic caucuses should go in the early presidential nominating window in 2028.

Note From the Chair
Hey folks! Rita Hart here.
Last night was caucus night! Iowans from across the state gathered to build the future of our party, showing up for the sake of our Democratic future. Our future is looking pretty bright considering this was our most attended caucus night since 2018!
It is encouraging to see that thousands of Iowans showed up to caucuses in all 99 counties ready for change. If you attended your local caucus, thank you. You are the reason we can elect new leaders in 2026 to bring balance back to our state. Last night was just the beginning, though.
We need your continued help to ensure we are successful in November. If you’re able, please join your friends and neighbors in volunteering for the Democratic cause. You can sign up here: Volunteer - Iowa Democratic Party [[link removed]] . We need every single person reading this email to sign up if we want to get across that finish line in November. Our very democracy depends on it.
Sincerely,
Rita Hart
