All true Americans know that one of our greatest assets as a nation is our diversity. The best of all peoples, bringing their best, to serve this country.
There is arguably no better example of this than the Tuskegee Airmen in World War II — our nation’s first black military aviators. Barred from pilot roles until 1941, they went on to become one of the most elite fighter outfits in history. Their valor and excellence was a driving force in the desegregation of the entire military after the Second World War.
So when Pete Hegseth says stuff like “Your diversity is not your strength,” remember the Tuskegee Airmen.
