ICE detained a five-year-old boy named Liam Ramos despite his parents following the law. Liam’s parents didn’t enter the U.S. illegally. They did exactly what the law prescribes – they presented themselves at a port of entry, requested asylum, and were waiting for their day in court.

The facts didn’t stop JD Vance from confronting me on social media to try to defend the imprisonment of 5 year old Liam.

We need to stand up to bullies like JD Vance. And as long as I am in Congress, that is exactly what I will do.

It’s never been more important for us to stand up against the extremism of the Trump administration. I need your help. Please chip in so I can continue to hold the Trump administration accountable for their cruelty.
