Today, Governor Josh Shapiro delivered his 2026-2027 state budget address. We’re really pleased to see that he prioritized addressing rising energy costs and cost of living – because no one should be working this hard and struggling to make ends meet. 

Here’s a quick breakdown of key points from the Governor’s proposal:

But proposals alone won’t lower bills or protect our air and water — they must be passed into law. Too many common-sense clean energy and affordability solutions have stalled in Harrisburg while Pennsylvania families continue to face rising costs.

That’s why we want to hear from you. How are you feeling about the proposed state budget?

Pennsylvania leaders have an opportunity — and responsibility — to deliver clean, affordable energy and strong environmental protections, especially as federal safeguards are being weakened. We’ll continue pushing for real action that lowers costs and protects communities across our commonwealth.
