John,

COVID-19 has brought school closures and daycare closures – and quality childcare was too expensive already.

Join us for our next Act and Learn webinar, From COVID-19 Shutdowns to Inequities that Have Always Been There: Access to Childcare Is A Reproductive Justice Issue, at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 30.

Reproductive justice is a human rights framework developed by Black women that holds the right to parent, the right not to parent, and the right to raise families in safe and healthy communities. Access to quality childcare and education is absolutely part of reproductive justice. Access to quality childcare and education has always been racialized, and a situation that was not good before the global pandemic has grown more untenable by the day.

These are trying times for parents. Let’s talk about it.

Confirmed panelists include:

  • Charity L. Woods Barnes, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Interfaith Voices for Reproductive Justice
  • Shana Bartley, Director of Community Partnerships & Program Development, Income Security and Child Care/Early Learning, National Women’s Law Center

Please plan to join us for our next Act and Learn webinar, From COVID-19 Shutdowns to Inequities that Have Always Been There: Access to Childcare Is A Reproductive Justice Issue, at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 30.

Sincerely,

Erin, Pamela, Caitlin, Elizabeth, Evonnia, Jessica, Kara, Nataley, Shireen, Tenaja, Angie, Brittany, and the Reproaction team
