On Saturday, we began our next town hall tour across the entire state of Maine:

* I stopped in Yarmouth – a town of 9,000 people – and over 500 showed up to ask questions.
*
* I went to South Paris – where 2,000 people live – and another 100 came to hear our message and our vision for working-class people.
*
* In Liberty – a town of 934 that voted for Trump by 7 points – over 25% of the entire community came ready to learn how we’re going to defeat Susan Collins.
*
* And because ours is a campaign that is going to fight for every single vote, I took the ferry across to Islesboro (population: 583) where 85 people showed up and packed the room.

And that was just this weekend!

[[link removed]]I don't know how we've reached a time when Mainers can’t count on their elected officials to show up in their communities and answer tough questions. Somehow Susan Collins has not held a single public town hall this millennium. And I’m not sure my Democratic opponent has either. But not us. Our team is going to keep showing up, in every community.

This past fall, the national media tried to declare our campaign dead. But when the latest fundraising reports became public this weekend, we learned that we almost raised more than Susan Collins and Janet Mills – combined!

Sometimes, this whole thing feels surreal. Like a dream I’m going to wake up from. Back in August, I was just an oyster farmer trying to build a wonderful little life with my wife, Amy, in our small community in eastern Maine, in a house on the same street I grew up on. And now, the entire Republican and Democratic DC establishment, their corporate Super PACs, and special interests like AIPAC all seem hell-bent on trying to destroy my life and prevent us from winning.

It’s you and me versus the oligarchy – and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We are going to win this primary. I am going to be the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate against Susan Collins.

We are going to defeat Susan Collins in November. We will flip Maine blue and take back the Senate for Democrats.

And when I go down to Washington, we are going to stand up to the oligarchs and these fascists – and fight for big things like passing Medicare for All, stopping taxpayer-funded genocide, and dismantling ICE.

Every day, I hear whispers of attack ads coming our way. Millions of dollars being raised by Susan Collins and Chuck Schumer to spend trying to stop us. We’re not going to be stopped, though. Because we cannot afford to. Not if we actually want to materially improve the lives of working-class people in this country.

I wish there were a way I could properly express my gratitude for everything you do for our campaign. Whether it’s your time, your voice, your hard-earned money, or your vote – I am humbled beyond words to have you on this team. Thank you… for everything.
