Yesterday brought us one of the most deranged, rambling admissions by President Trump yet: he wants to nationalize our elections to keep himself and Republicans in power. He has already directed his FBI to raid election sites in Georgia and has vowed to prove the 2020 election was stolen from him.

It’s clear: Trump doesn’t want to be president. He wants to be a King.

Not only is this extremely unconstitutional, but one of the biggest threats our democracy has faced in its 250 year history. Free and fair elections are at the foundation of our Constitution and government, and Trump wants to rip them away.

Our midterms are under attack because Trump and his crony Republicans know they can’t win on their own.

Trump’s popularity is crashing and he’s doing everything he can in order to stay in control. We can’t let him break the rules like this.
