With the accountability of the midterms hanging over their heads, Trump and Republicans in Congress are getting desperate. And it shows.
First, Elon (unsuccessfully) tried to buy a Wisconsin State Supreme Court seat so that he and MAGA republicans could rewrite the voting rules. Then, Trump rolled out his mid-decade redistricting scheme to gerrymander his party into maintaining power in the midterms.
Now, Elon is back in Washington with $10 million and a plan—to strip away our voting rights through the SAVE Act.
The SAVE Act would make it harder for millions of eligible Americans to register to vote. The bill requires voters to register or re-register in-person with either a passport or birth certificate—documents over 20 million American citizens don’t have readily available.
Senator John Thune is promising to bring this awful bill—or an even worse version of it—to a vote ASAP. We beat this back before, and it’s up to all of us to do it again. Send an email to your senators urging them to vote NO on the SAVE Act.

The SAVE Act targets eligible voters who already face challenges to casting their ballot.
It disproportionately hurts rural voters, married women, voters of color, seniors, young people, voters with disabilities, and veterans who may struggle to access a valid passport or birth certificate, and may be unable to present these documents in-person.
Trump and DC Republicans slashed our healthcare and essential services to give rich weirdos like Elon a tax break. No wonder they want to make it harder for us to vote them out. If we want to hold onto our voting rights, we can’t let the SAVE Act pass. Send an email to your senators urging them to vote NO on the SAVE Act.
