John, tomorrow’s
judicial hearings should be simple.
Donald Trump keeps nominating cronies to lifetime seats on the bench —
loyalists who refuse to acknowledge that Joe Biden won in 2020 or condemn
January 6, and who, out of fear of offending him, put his power above the
law.
And somehow, they keep moving forward.
Why? Because 18 Senate Democrats keep helping advance them.
Yes… those Senate Democrats. The ones who love to give floor speeches
about democracy on the brink. The ones who warn about Trump’s
authoritarian tactics. The ones who preach about defending the courts, and
then quietly help Trump’s loyalists inch closer to lifetime appointments.
It’s absurd. It’s embarrassing. And it’s blatant hypocrisy.
You don’t get credit for opposing Trump’s court takeover while greasing
the wheels for it. You don’t get to wring your hands about the rule of law
while confirming judges who would happily twist it to serve Trump.
These Senate Democrats love to talk the talk.
Now it’s time to walk the walk.
Tomorrow’s hearing is the moment. This is where Senate Democrats stop
playing both sides, stop hiding behind process, and start doing the right
thing — by voting NO on any nominee whose allegiance is to Trump, not the
people.
We’re putting on the pressure, calling out the hypocrisy, and making it
impossible to ignore what’s at stake. But we can’t do it alone.
