This is startling news. Even more concerning is that it happened almost entirely under the radar, and we need to make sure people know about it NOW.
The Legislative District 28 Democrats have an urgent call to action happening tonight.
Call Mayor Sartor’s office at 623-222-1313.
Tell the Mayor that you oppose this facility and demand that the city take immediate action to stop it from moving forward.
Then, at 6:00 PM tonight, February 3, 2026, show up at Surprise City Hall, located at 1600 N. Civic Center Plaza, to demand that the City Council stand with residents against this facility.
This is urgent, and we strongly encourage you to take part.

You should know the reason it went unnoticed is simple. Too few Arizona Democrats pay attention to the West Valley, especially Surprise, which is deep red.
We have known for decades that the West Valley gets overlooked, and this cycle we are determined to change that.
We are investing resources to build a stronger presence in the West Valley, not just to respond when news like this breaks, but to drive voter turnout.
