Dear John,
It seems like every day there are new reports about plastic polluting our world, from oceans and rivers to microplastics contaminating our own bodies. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the issue and not know where to start doing something about it. That’s why we’re going back to the basics to explore the real causes of plastic pollution, how plastic affects our health and communities, and simple actions you can take to help solve the problem.
Join us on February 11, 2026, for Back to Basics: Plastic Pollution 101. Our panel of activists, educators, and scientists will present key information about the plastic pollution crisis, and what you can do to help protect yourself and the planet. This conversation will be suitable for beginners. Joining the discussion will be Kristy Drutman, Brown Girl Green; Rhonda Keyser, Program & Policy Director, Cafeteria Culture; and Dana Zhaxylykova, Microplastics Researcher. The webinar will be moderated by Jack Dalton, The Kid Conservationist.
This webinar will feature live Spanish interpretation thanks to Alejandra Warren, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Plastic Free Future.
