John:

Quick story for you about how small but strategic wins can influence the whole war.

On July 2, 1863, Colonel Joshua Chamberlain and the 20th Maine held the extreme left flank of the Union lines at Gettysburg — Little Round Top. If that position fell, the entire Union Army would be exposed, and the battle lost.

The Confederates sent wave after wave up Little Round Top, and Chamberlain and his men fought each back. But with ammunition running out and casualties mounting, Chamberlain was running out of time and options. He gave his troops an order: Fix bayonets, and charge down the hill.

That charge saved the day, the battle, the war, and ultimately the United States of America. All because a 35-year-old liberal arts professor from Maine wasn’t going to let anybody kick him off a hill.

On Saturday, Taylor Rehmet won an election in the most unlikely place — a Trump +17 district in Texas. We knew this race would be important, and we knew we could have an impact. We put $500,000 behind Taylor because we believed in him.

Small wins like that can influence the entire war.

Now, we don’t expect you to donate just because we’ve got a win to celebrate. We are hoping you’ll donate because we have hundreds more races to win this year. And we hope that by now you know — we’ll put your donation where it can have a real impact.

So, how about it:
