Last week, families across the country celebrated National School Choice Week—a reminder that parents should have the freedom to choose the educational environment that best serves their children. Now, North Carolina families have a practical next step.

Opportunity Scholarship ([link removed]) enrollment is now open for North Carolina families.

The Opportunity Scholarship helps families cover tuition and other required fees to attend registered private schools across the state. Since 2014, the program has helped thousands of families pursue educational options that align with their children’s needs and their family’s values.

Here’s what families should know:
* Who can apply? Families with students entering kindergarten through 12th grade
* Award amount: Approximately $3,000–$7,000, based on household income
* Use of funds: Tuition and required fees at registered private schools
