Across the country people are rising up against the deaths and daily terror being inflicted by ICE and federal agents. Communities are not backing down — we are organizing, winning, and building real power.

This is not the time to submit to despair. This is the time to build momentum.

Everyday people have made it impossible for ICE to operate as if its violence is normal or justified. Our resistance is forcing the truth into the open: this is state terror, not public safety.

✊🏾SIGNS THE PRESSURE IS WORKING

Because of sustained organizing, mass protest, and national outrage, the political terrain is shifting.
* A Republican break with Trump’s immigration operation. Chris Madel — a Republican candidate for Minnesota governor and lawyer for the ICE officer who killed Renee Good — dropped out of the race , calling the Trump administration’s immigration operation an “unmitigated disaster.” He publicly condemned retaliation against civilians and named the fear facing communities of color.
* Federal officials forced into accountability. Following the Minneapolis killing, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee for the first time, amid bipartisan pressure and scrutiny over DHS lies about Alex Pretti’s death.
* ICE leadership retreating. Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino is expected to leave Minneapolis, along with other agents, marking a public shift after protests and mounting outrage.

These developments didn’t happen by chance. They happened because people organized — and escalation works.


☎️ TAKE ACTION: CALL YOUR SENATORS NOW

Right now, senators are deciding whether to fund MORE of the same violence we’re fighting in Minneapolis and across the country. Senate Democrats must pull the plug on $400 million more for detention and $370 million more for ICE enforcement by voting no on the funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security. Republicans, too, must feel the pressure from their constituents to put a stop to more funding for ICE.

Call your Senators TODAY [[link removed]] and tell them to:
* Vote NO on the government funding package that increases funding for ICE and detention centers.
* Publicly call for ICE and Border Patrol to be pulled out of Minnesota and all occupied communities.

This is exactly how movements win: by pushing elected officials to confront the consequences of their choices and show the power of everyday people.


🏘️ EVICTION MORATORIUMS: WE MUST PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORS

This fight for housing justice is inseparable from the fight against state violence. ICE occupations and enforcement have destabilized communities economically and socially. People are missing work, losing income, and feel unsafe leaving their homes. That’s why organizers in cities like Minneapolis and Los Angeles are demanding eviction moratoriums [[link removed]] , so families aren’t pushed out of their homes while under federal assault.
