Request for Applications: HUD811 Project Based Rental Assistance (PRA) Units
Applications are due by 5 p.m. March 17
The Department of Commerce is seeking applications to fund units for clients referred by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services under the HUD Section 811 Project Rental Assistance program (811 PRA).
Eligible projects are owned by non-profit, private, tribal, or public entities, including Federally Recognized Tribal Governments. Projects must have utilized the Washington State Housing Trust Fund, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, HOME funding, or similar local, state, or federal public capital fund source. 811 PRA units provide non-time-limited tenancy for non-elderly people with disabling conditions.
Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. March 17. Commerce expects to announce preliminary awards within 90 days of the close of the application period.
The initial Notice of Request for Applications is available online. The application workbook, other required forms, and program documents are in Box. Commerce plans to establish new 811 PRA units across Washington. Projects proposed in Cowlitz, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish and Whatcom counties, currently underserved by 811 PRA, will be prioritized during this funding round.
