Dear John,

Here are five things most Americans probably don't know about Congress:

1) The Federal Government is again shut down.  This is the second time in three months that Congress hasn't been able to pass spending bills for this fiscal year which began last October. The year is already one-third over!.

2) Congress hasn't passed all of its appropriations bills that fund the government on time since 1997 -- 29 years ago!

3)  A YouGov poll released last week before the most recent shut down reports Congress' approval rating is only 17%!

4) 90% or more of all U.S. Senators and Representatives WILL BE REELECTED next November no matter what!  Many will not even be opposed for reelection!

5) States are right this minute taking matters into their own hands, standing up to Congress and voting to amend the Constitution to impose term limits on the U.S. House and Senate!

Please help U.S. Term Limits continue to battle in the states for term limits on Congress.

Sincerely,

Philip Blumel, President
