2020 is the most non-transparent legislative session in decades. Nine Bad Bills are roaring through approvals. The bills REWARD developers of luxury housing, DESTROY communities to do it, and further REDUCES the legislature’s waning commitment to affordable housing.
The legislature vowed to address COVID-19. Instead, Bay Area state Sen. Scott Wiener bullied them into warmed-over 2019 housing laws written for developers, not the unemployed or poor.
