FIRST: Senator Bernie Sanders introduced an amendment to repeal an additional $75 billion in funding for ICE, a massive increase that would triple their budget.

Every single Democrat voted yes on that amendment.

NOW: That repeal was stripped from the final funding package, and Democrats are being asked to vote to continue funding ICE anyway.

I won’t do it.

I’m not just a no. I’m a firm NO.

I am organizing an effort for all my Democratic colleagues to vote no.

Democrats cannot vote to continue funding ICE when they are killing American citizens and when there is no provision to undo the tripling of their budget.

That’s why I said this on Meet the Press this weekend:

Standing up like this comes with a cost. The pressure is intense. The attacks are already starting.
