Friends,
Everywhere I go in Shelby County, I’m reminded why this work matters.
I’ve been spending time in neighborhoods across our county handing out food, helping residents navigate challenges, and checking in with families to make sure they feel seen, supported, and heard. Showing up for people isn’t something I turn on for a campaign: it’s a commitment I carry with me every day. And while I’m focused on doing the work, I’ve been truly overwhelmed by the love and support pouring in from across our community.
That’s why I’m honored to share some meaningful news with you: Dr. Carol Johnson-Dean, former Superintendent of Memphis City Schools, has officially endorsed my campaign for Mayor of Shelby County. |
Dr. Johnson-Dean is a respected leader who understands what it takes to strengthen our schools and serve our children well. Her endorsement means a great deal to me and it reflects a shared belief that Shelby County deserves leadership that puts families, students, and educators first.
Education is personal to me.
I’m a proud Memphian, a Shelby County Commissioner, a former student of legacy Memphis City Schools, and a father with children currently in our public school system. I know firsthand that strong schools are the foundation of strong families, and a stronger Shelby County. Investing in education is investing in the future of Shelby County and is one of my top priorities.
This campaign is about showing up, listening, and leading with purpose: it’s about building a county government that works for everyone, not just a few.
If you believe in that vision, I’d be honored to have your support. Your contribution helps us continue organizing, reaching voters, and showing up in every corner of Shelby County. |
