There were a lot of big winners last night at the Grammys, but perhaps the biggest story was who kept losing all night long — Donald Trump. Host Trevor Noah kicked off the gala with a scathing takedown of the notoriously thin-skinned president, and things just snowballed from there, with one winner after another taking the opportunity to speak out against the wannabe dictator's unconscionable anti-immigrant crusade and deeply unAmerican assault on freedom itself.

Trump, of course, took the bait. You can always tell how truly incensed Donald is by how quickly he threatens to sue, and last night was no different, with the credibly accused sex predator thumb-smashing on Truth Social: "Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. It looks like I'll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$." Someone really should take granddad's phone away after 8pm.

Kennedy Center will now close for 2 years — for renovations, according to Trump
The MAGA cult leader's witless takeover of the Kennedy Center is going so well the storied performing arts center will now shutter for two full years starting this summer — for renovations, according to Trump. The wannabe dictator's announcement follows a wave of cancellations by leading performers, musicians, and groups since he ousted the previous leadership, stacked the board with servile loyalists, appointed himself chairman, and slapped his stupid name on the building. Trump conveniently made no mention of the widespread cancellations or the threadbare calendar, instead claiming the facility had to be completely closed because of its "tired, broken, and dilapidated" condition. Uh huh.

News of the shuttering comes just days after the head of artistic programming abruptly quit his post less than two weeks after he was named to the job. Donald's desperate, vainglorious rebranding effort has gone so well, he's turned the nation's premiere performing arts destination into an empty hull in a year flat. Can't wait to see what the nincompoop-in-chief hollows out next.

Only "half" of Epstein files have been released, says Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna
More than half of the infamous Epstein files Trump spent years clamoring about and Attorney General Pam Bondi famously said were sitting on her desk a full year ago still, for some incredibly curious reason, have not been released. And many of those already released have been redacted to the point of parody. Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna is having none of it, warning during an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press" that contempt charges and/or impeachment await Bondi if she does not stop stonewalling and comply with the law of the land.

"They've released at best half the documents. But even those shock the conscience of this country... This is the most documents that we have seen released so far in history. But it is not good enough," Khanna said. "If we don't get the remaining files ... and if the survivors are not happy, then Thomas Massie and I are prepared to move on impeachment or contempt." Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche says DOJ unable to investigate tips about Trump’s involvement with Epstein
Among the nearly 3 million additional Epstein documents the DOJ released on Friday are thousands of allegations about Trump and his former best buddy the FBI received as tips through its National Threat Operations Center. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche — who was Donald's personal criminal attorney before joining the DOJ — told CNN's Dana Bash that the mountain of tips from alleged "Trump accusers" was simply "not something that can be really investigated." Blanche wants us all to believe that the Justice Department, which employees more than 115,000 people, simply lacks the resources to investigate all the leads connecting the so-called leader of the free world to the world's most notorious child sex trafficker, since some of the tips were anonymous or relied on second-hand information. Incredibly convenient and definitely believable stuff, Todd. Many people are saying this!

Florida Republicans advance bill to weaken vaccine protections for children
The Republican Party's war on science is continuing apace, with state lawmakers and do-your-own-research disciples advanced an alarming new bill in the Florida legislature this week to further weaken vaccine protections for children. And yet, it could've actually been worse. The proposed new law seeks to expand exemptions for parents who do not want their school-age children vaccinated, while leaving in place certain mandates — namely the MMR vaccine against measles, mumps, and rubella; the DTaP shot for protection against diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis, and the polio vaccine — at least for now.

State Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, a longtime vaccine conspiracy theorist, caused outrage among public health experts when he declared last fall that children in the state would no longer be required to receive vaccines against a number of preventable diseases. Lapado said his push to eliminate compulsory vaccinations would eventually receive the blessing "of God," and claimed that "every last [mandate] is wrong and drips with disdain and slavery."

It apparently bears repeating that the polio vaccine alone has saved MILLIONS of children from premature death and prevented tens of millions of cases of paralysis worldwide since its introduction in the 1950s. There are few right-wing crusades more criminally stupid or reckless than the conspiratorial assault on established scientific consensus.

Texas ICE detention center on lockdown after measles outbreak confirmed
Measles cases in the United States have hit a three-decade high — thanks in no small part to human rock tumbler Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s crusade to make America contagious again — so it was inevitable the country would eventually witness disturbing outbreaks at ICE concentration camps, where living conditions are notoriously abysmal. ICE announced it was locking down its detention center in Dilley, Texas — the same facility that held 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father until they were released on Saturday — and halting "all movement" until further notice. Some detainees have also been quarantined while officials attempt to stamp out further spread of the highly contagious disease. Keep up the good work, fellas.
