That’s right. A Democrat won for the first time in 35 years.

Taylor is an Air Force veteran, a union president, and a lifelong Texan who ran on healthy schools, dignity in retirement, and unity—not party labels or D.C. consultant talking points. With early support from Run for Something and real organizing muscle, he built a coalition that flipped a seat everyone else wrote off.
