“You can’t have guns. You can’t walk in with guns.”

That’s what Pres. Trump said in response to recent events in Minnesota. And his administration’s hot take that carrying a firearm with ‘multiple loaded magazines’ could make someone a domestic terrorist prompted a strong response from FPC.

That’s why we issued a statement entitled “Rights Are Not Privileges,” wherein we reminded the Federal Government that the mere presence of a firearm does not erase a person’s rights.

The Trump Administration - just like any other - must remember that government exists only by the consent of the people, and your rights are not subject to their policy preferences.

It is deeply troubling that federal officials are treating natural rights as privileges, and their belief that possessing a firearm makes a person fair game to be killed places everyone at risk.

- District court entered its final judgment in Reese v. ATF

Wednesday, January 28th, 2026

- The Federal Government has filed an amicus brief with the First Circuit in support of FPC in Granata v. Campbell

Thursday, January 29th, 2026

- The defendants and intervenors in Koons v. Platkin filed responses with the Third Circuit to the multi-state amicus brief in support of FPC

Friday, January 30th, 2026

- FPC submits amicus brief at the Supreme Court in United States v. Hemani
- Fourth Circuit has temporarily stayed the mandate in Novotny v. Moore
