When I launched my campaign for president, I made one thing clear: This election is a battle for the soul of our nation.
Women — and particularly women of color — have never had a fair shot to get ahead in this country. And, Donald Trump is only making the challenges they face worse.
John, it’s simple: My daughter should have the same rights as my sons. But when I look at what’s happening in this country, I know that’s not true. Women’s rights and women’s healthcare are under assault in a way that seeks to roll back every step of progress we’ve made over the last 50 years.
But look John, just because we’ve never lived up to our promise doesn't mean we’ve ever walked away from it. I'm going to keep fighting for the future we all deserve. A future where your access to healthcare doesn’t depend on your gender or where you live or how much money you make. A future where women’s constitutional rights are protected, not under attack.
We’re not going to make any progress while Donald Trump is in the White House, so first, we need to win in November. It’s going to take a grassroots movement. That's why I need you in this fight with me, John.

There’s no doubt in my mind that NARAL and its 2.5 million members have a critical role to play in the next 98 days.
I won my first campaign by pounding the pavement, going to door to door, talking to voters, and collecting grassroots donations. I know that we are in a new, virtual world, but John, we need to do it again. Call your friends and family. Make sure they are engaged and ready to get involved this year, because there is too much at stake not to.
