As Dick Durbin’s campaign manager, it’s my job to ensure that we stay on track and hit all of our fundraising goals. And with baseball back (Go White Sox!), I can’t help but say that we really need to knock this one out of the park. That’s why I’m emailing today to ask for your help:

We’re nearly halfway there to meeting Team Durbin’s $20,000 end-of-month goal. Can we count on you to join us in the fight and pitch in $5 right away to help him get there?

Why is hitting this goal so important, John? Because our self-funding, so-called “independent” opponent just wrote himself a $5 million dollar check. Senator Durbin takes every race seriously -- but this year, it’s more important than ever that we defend this Democratic seat.

We can’t afford two more years of Mitch McConnell and the GOP’s failed leadership. And re-electing Dick Durbin is essential in the fight to win a Democratic Senate majority.

We can keep Illinois blue and flip the Senate -- but first we need to meet this goal. Will you chip in $5 or any amount now to help us get there before the July deadline?
