Hi it’s Sharice. I just wrapped up an event at my Kansas Strong Tour (I’ll give you the full recap soon!) — but I needed to reach out before midnight.

Listen, when I’m out on the road meeting with Kansans, it’s safe to say that End-of-Month deadlines and grassroots fundraising goals… don’t come up very often.

When folks tell me they’re worried about paying their mortgage on time or being able to pay for that next doctor’s appointment, I don’t tell them I understand where they’re coming from — then send them a link to chip in.

But the truth is, if we want to make progress on those issues — lowering the cost of living, expanding affordable health care, and defending our democracy — we have to win the next election. And in order to win? We need to hit our fundraising goals.

I know asking for your hard-earned money is an ugly side of politics. But Democrats like me have to win elections to change it. That’s why I’m humbly asking: Will you chip in just a few dollars before our books officially close at midnight? We’re only a few hundred dollars away from hitting our goal, so just a small handful of donations will put us over the top.
